When viewed from space, Earth looks like a beautiful blue marble. This is because over 70% of its surface is covered in liquid water oceans. It sits in the perfect "Goldilocks Zone"—not too hot and not too cold—allowing water to exist as a liquid, solid (ice), and gas.
Earth has a breathable atmosphere rich in nitrogen and oxygen, which protects us from the Sun's harmful radiation and keeps the planet warm enough for plants, animals, and humans to thrive.
